Who is it For?
Consortia led by research institutions, NGOs, or international organizations with expertise in health systems strengthening, humanitarian response, and capacity building. Target countries include Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, and South Asia regions affected by conflict or natural disasters.
Priorities
EU Global Health Strategy 2022-2027 and the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus. Priorities include universal health coverage, pandemic preparedness, and addressing health determinants in crises. Strong cross-sectoral coordination with WASH, nutrition, and protection sectors required.
Eligibility
Minimum three partners from EU member states and at least one partner from a target country. Proof of experience in complex emergencies, health workforce training, and results-based management. Must comply with Horizon Europe's ethics and gender equality standards.
Path to Success
Phase 1: Establish consortium and contextual analysis using GSLI's 'Project Planning and Management' course to design a theory of change. Phase 2: Develop and deliver training packages on 'Health in complex humanitarian emergencies' and 'Child protection in humanitarian setting' to strengthen health workforce competencies. Phase 3: Implement digital MEAL system using 'Data Analysis for Project Management' and 'Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning' courses. Phase 4: Document best practices and policy recommendations. GSLI courses provide the niche humanitarian health and MEAL expertise that the EU expects, ensuring our consortium can deliver high-impact, compliant capacity building.
