Who is it For?
International and local NGOs, training institutes, and social enterprises with experience in community-led housing and urban upgrading. Partnerships with local governments are required.

Secure tenure, basic service provision (water, sanitation, electricity), climate resilience, and community mobilization. Alignment with the New Urban Agenda and SDG 11.
Eligibility
Organizations must have a track record of working with urban poor communities, a gender-inclusive approach, and capacity to manage sub-grants. Budget between $500,000 and $2 million.
Path to Success
Phase 1: Use 'Water, Sanitation, Hygiene Training Workshop' to train community leaders on WASH infrastructure maintenance. Phase 2: Deliver project management training via 'Project Planning and Management' to help communities oversee upgrading projects. Phase 3: Build financial management skills through 'Financial Management for NGOs' for community savings groups and grant accountability. Phase 4: Establish M&E with 'Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning' to document resilience outcomes. GSLI courses are hands-on and tailored to local contexts, ensuring sustainability and donor alignment.
