Who is it For?

International NGOs and consulting firms with expertise in child protection, social welfare, and governance. Target countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia with high rates of child vulnerability and weak social services.

Priorities

Aligns with USAID's 2023-2027 Child Protection Strategy and the World Bank's Human Capital Project. Prioritizes evidence-based interventions, cross-sectoral collaboration (health, education, justice), and strengthening national social protection systems.

Eligibility

Demonstrated experience in child protection systems strengthening, including alternative care, case management, and workforce development. Proven capacity in data protection, financial management, and results-oriented MEAL. Must have a local presence in at least two target countries.

Path to Success

Phase 1: Conduct system assessment and develop a capacity-building plan leveraging GSLI's 'Child protection in humanitarian setting' and 'Data Privacy and Protection' courses. Phase 2: Deliver training for social workers and policymakers on 'Fundraising & Resource Mobilization For NGOs Training Workshop' to ensure sustainable financing. Phase 3: Implement a robust MEAL system using 'Writing Winning Proposals' and 'Grants Management Training Workshop' to attract and manage donor funds. Phase 4: Facilitate policy dialogue and knowledge exchange. GSLI courses directly address the donor's priorities for child protection expertise, data privacy, and resource mobilization, offering a comprehensive capacity-building package.
